"Zebra 2.0" 24"x36" black and white Acrylic Painting on Canvas available now at my store.
The Zebra paintings are a twist on the Psychameleon series, dilluting the concept to black and white, monochromatic abstract nude imagery. The paintings are made using shading underpainting with transparent glossy black acrylic paint poured over top. The simplicity of the monochrome creates a stripe effect reminiscent of Zebra stripes, and also makes the figure even harder to see at some points. The fragmented pose which only shows parts of the body share these elements of abstraction of the female figure with some of my pointillism drawings.
